Problem

Buffalo Solar was struggling with its prospecting system and social media presence. Most of the businesses reached out to weren’t even viable either the roof span wasn’t enough or the potential kW output didn’t justify a conversation. Buffalo Solar was wasting time, energy, and opportunities.

My Approach

The goal was simple: make more sales by fixing the two weakest linksmour prospecting/outreach system and our social media visibility plus SEO.
If we could target better, show up better, and communicate better, the results would follow.

Using the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) tool, I completely transformed our targeting. Instead of reaching out blindly to every business owner in the region, I got intentional.

Through Apollo.io, I pulled business owners in the Buffalo region and across Pennsylvania. Then I cross-checked their exact location using NREL—roof suitability, shading, surface area, and estimated energy output.

It was painstaking at first, but it paid off immediately.
Our prospect list became higher quality, and we made it a rule to increase the list by at least 50 qualified leads per day.

Prospecting

Direct Outreach

We doubled down on two channels: LinkedIn and Email.
Manual outreach is slow, inconsistent, and drains you, so I automated the entire flow.

  • Dripify for LinkedIn sequences

  • Instantly for email outreach

This combination massively increased our touchpoints and helped us book more calls without the stress and burnout that comes with manual prospecting.

Irresistible Free Offer

Talking to C-suite executives means you must stand out. A sales pitch alone wasn’t going to cut it. We needed trust and curiosity.

So I created two high-value free incentives:

  • A Solar Incentives Guide highlighting recent solar regulations, tax benefits, and case studies.

  • A Solar Savings Calculator showing exactly how much money their business could save by switching to solar.

These instantly elevated our conversations, boosted our response rates, and positioned us as a helpful partner not just another company trying to sell panels.

Social Media and SEO Blogs

Buffalo Solar’s social media was flatlined.
To revive it, I leaned into clean, crisp, educational content anchored by the founder’s voice.

We brought in a videographer, built out scripts for Tyler, and produced founder-led videos, industry insights, and thought-leadership pieces.

This consistent, high-quality content helped us regain momentum and grow on both LinkedIn and Instagram, strengthening our brand presence and building trust with potential clients.

To boost our discoverability, I created SEO-optimized blogs using high-ranking keywords, internal links, and strategic backlinks.
These articles were designed to answer real questions businesses ask before going solar, cost, ROI, payback period, incentives, roof type, and more.

The result? Stronger search visibility, more organic traffic hitting the website, and a growing number of inbound leads discovering Buffalo Solar
